We respect your personal privacy and understand that you are aware of and care about your own personal information. This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy” or “Policy”) describes the Penn West policies and practices regarding its collection, uses, and/or disclosure of your personal data, and sets forth your privacy rights and choices. How We Collect Information

We mainly collect your personal information through your use of our website https://pennwestinnovation.com/) (“Site”) both directly from you or indirectly through your use of the website. On occasion, we may collect your information from your attendance at one of our events or through a third-party, who is affiliated with the programs and/or services that we offer.

Additionally, we may obtain your personal information from other third-party sources and social media platforms that you may use to engage with us as well as from our affiliates, partners or third parties, including, but not limited to public databases, for the purposes provided below, and/or to supplement information we already possess.

By using our website or by attending our events and/or programs (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. Moreover, if you provide us with information regarding another individual, you represent that you have that person’s consent to give us his or her information and to permit us to use the information in accordance with this Policy.

Types of Information We Collect

The Penn West website collects personal information that you manually provide us, including but not limited to, when you register with us, fill out surveys, fill out other forms, or otherwise provide information via our Services or interact with our Services as outlined on the Site. The categories of information that we may collect directly from you include the following:

In addition, as is true of most websites, the Penn West website collects certain information automatically that is associated with your use of the website. Cookies are a commonly used web technology that allow websites to store and retrieve certain information on a user’s system, and track users’ online activities. We and our service providers may use such technology to collect information about your use of the Services by such automated means, including but not limited to cookies, pixels and other similar technologies. There are online tools available for clearing all cookies left behind by the websites you have visited, such as www.allaboutcookies.org.

These technologies may help us automatically identify you when you return to our Services. Cookies help us review website traffic patterns, improve the Services, and determine what Services are popular.

When you use the Services, the information that we may collect by automated means includes, for example:

  • Usage Details about your interaction with our Services (such as the date, time, and length of visits, and specific pages or content accessed during the visits, search terms, frequency of the visits, and referring website addresses);
  • Device Information including the IP address and other details of a device that you use to connect with our Services (such as device type and unique device identifier, operating system, browser type, and mobile network information); and
  • Location Information where you choose to provide the Services access to your device’s location information.

If a user does not want information collected through the use of cookies, most browsers allow the visitor to reject cookies, but if you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features that our Services provide. Because there is not yet a consensus on how companies should respond to web browser-based do-not-track (“DNT”) mechanisms, we do not respond to web browser-based DNT signals at this time.

Finally, we may combine information about you that we have with information we obtain from your participation in our events or through third-party partners or affiliates. The personal information collected through these means is similar to the above described information.
